What are your hosting plans? Print E-mail
We generally do not offer specific hosting plans as we do not offer bulk hosting nor do we compete with other hosting companies. Our hosting is provided primarily as a service to our exising customers and is often included as part of the web site design and setup costs.

We will from time to time, however, consider hosting additional sites on a first come, first serve basis.

What we Offer
Our hosting includes all your email accounts, site monitoring, web statistics, phone and email support, Databases, content storage (within reason - one or two GB is reasonable - 40GB is not unless you want us to add a new disk drive just for you - you pay for the drive and the time it takes for us to add it to the server). This also includes the same firewall security and site monitoring protecting our other highly secured customers and any additional firewall rules you may require for your web offerings.

We Support Open Source, primarily. Please look elsewhere for IIS, Cold Fusion, Websphere, etc. We dont do that!

What we DON'T Offer
  • Microsoft based hosting services including .NET and ASP technology. Sadly - Microsoft does not provide that same warm and fuzzy feeling of customer support and security that we try to provide for our customers. We have no Microsoft software running on any of our border servers and we primarily use Open Source offerings to build solutions. Our servers are all Linux based and our applications are either custom-built or built on other Open Source frameworks.
  • Web Based Email. We are not prepared to offer web based email services similar to Hotmail, Yahoo, Google Mail and others. We dont have the staff, time, or storage to provide this service and we believe that if you require web-based email - simply create an account with any of these providers (or use your own ISP account, e.g., Bellsouth.net or AOL.com) and we will forward your mail to those accounts. We also believe that this type of service would degrade the security of our systems as a whole. We will fully support POP3 email clients and IMAP on request.
  • Outlook Web Access email. Like we said - No Microsoft-based servers or applications on our border.
  • Antispam. We believe it is your responsibility to determine what is spam and what is not, not us. We are testing Antivirus solutions compatible with Qmail but no solution has been decided as yet.
  • Antivirus. We are looking at the possibility of providing this service to our customers but have not yet decided the best approach. We encourage you to keep your Antivirus engines up-to-date.
  • Download sites. These sites generally are a clearinghouse of both legal and illegal software, pirated MP3 files, hacks and cracks, pornagraphy, etc. They require high bandwidth and large online storage. They diminish the good works and reputation of us and our customers. Those sites can stay with the large hosting clearinghouses.
  • Plesk or cPanel management interfaces. Most all of our sites have their own backend management interfaces since they are mostly Content Management Systems (CMS). Email is managed via the QmailAdmin interface and we manage all domain records, personally.
  • Streaming Media. Nope! Too much bandwidth required. We also do not provide any QoS services so bandwidth for streaming content cannot be guaranteed.
  • Shell accounts. These are productions servers and there should be no need for a shell account. If you need development space, Contact us. We may be able to help out.
Pricing
We do not provide a "blanket" contract for hosting since our service offerings are personalized and customized for the needs of our clients. I bring this to your attention so that you might understand that we have no economies of scale - therefor - our pricing is going to be higher but your experience is going to be much more personalized.

Also, please be aware that the costs shown below should be considered as our "Standard Plan" and covers most of what is required for most individuals, small businesses, or organizations. Special cases may incur additional costs which will be detailed in the final contract.

So - can you find this service cheaper, elsewhere? You bet you can. In a million other places - but, you get what you pay for.

  • $100 Setup plus any additional costs associated with Domain Registration, Transfer , and/or SSL Certs
  • $25/month ala-carte.
  • $240/year if paid up front
